Great vidio Frank! But how much charcoal and lump do you put in the basket, or do you just dump till it look right? As for who the Gilbert guy is no clue. I listen to a little different style of music. Must be the age difference. :BDHorse:

I'm in the middle of a 200 gal build, and it has been a blast to work on. Now I know why some of the guys have fork lifts around. I found out ...

I've never tryed it yet but I read that if you have a self cleaning oven put the dutch oven it there and set it on self cleaning. If I remember right it's set bottom side up.

Is there such a thing as good grits? If so I've never had them. Maybe with I/4 c. of honey they might get the taste buds a perking.

Re: Cast iron help.

Put rock salt in it and put it on a burner, gas or otherwise. When it gets good and hot use something steel and scrape it and move the salt around. Salt gets very hot so watch out. The best thing I Have found to put in them is palm oil, it will not turn rancid or varnish. Something almost all other ...

What they said brought this on was a feller on a different job site was doing a little...

Re: Something "Fishy"

Haven't been on here in a while. Maybe I can explain myself better. The instructions on my chiminey says to use news paper under the bottom of the chiminey and it use to take me 4 or 5 sheets to get the charcoal going. Just take 1 big sheet of news paper and drizzel a little olive oil on it, and it ...

Re: Question for cutting steel plate

If you have a torch you should use it. If your cut is a little off use a grinder to get on line, just cut on the outside of the line and bring it in with the grinder. As for the size of tip, the size determines the thickness of metal you can cut and the size of kerf you get. I like to use a #0 tip o...

Re: Paint Removal

If the paint is epoxy the fumes are very bad for you. A fellow I worked with got just a wiff of smoke off of epoxy paint he was welding on and ended up in the hospital for 5 days, and was off work for several weeks. I will not weld on painted metal untill I grind off the existing paint.

Re: Discada steel guage?

I'll put in my 3 cents here, I used around 10 ga. for the board and 1/8 x 1in for the fence. I'm not as young as I use to be and I didn't want it to be to heavy. That has worked on both of them I have built so far. I don't see why a guy would want a real heavy diving board for one thing it could mak...
