Have a few things going against me including no air flow under the briquettes. I called Frank and rifled some question at him. What a big help. So much so ...

Re: Rubs and suaces.

Man you guys are hard core!!! I just started making sauces. Fun playing around with it. I have been growing some of the world's hottest peppers for a number of years now (why, cause I'm an idiot) and I have hot sauces down pretty good but this BBQ sauce thing has been a challenge, but fun. Love the ...

Rubs and suaces.

So what are all of your favorite rubs and sauces for all your Q? My current (and loyal) favorite for sauces is anything by Denny Mike's. I tend to like sauces with out a bunch of garbage in it (corn syrup and other things I cant pronounce). For rubs so far I would have to go with Texas BBQ rub's Gra...

Newb from Maine

New to the site. Pretty new to smoking. Just now learning how to build a fire and cook. I guess I could cook on anything if I learn the first two. Would love to find someone in southern Maine to "talk shop", cook and help with building a UDS. Oh ya, also like slow walks on the beach and am an unempl...

Can there be a separate (or is there) thread on just photos of folks smokers? I think it would be a good idea for folks to have one place to go for ideas and inspiration. Thanks. Jethro from Maine.

Newb from Maine would like help.

Anyone in the southern Maine area who would be willing to help me build a UDS? I have no welding tools or experience. Would be happy with just drilling and bolting. Also if not, where can I buy a fire box? Thanks. Jethro From Maine. :grillin:
