Re: Smoker cart build.

Nope....nothing on carts specifically but lots of builds on the site have had similar needs. Just do a little searching on the build threads for ideas. I will mention that these things are heavy so wide tires are needed if you want to roll on grass. I was looking at golf cart or go cart wheels.Thou...

Plugging bungs.

I have a 120 gallon tank.Spec plate says wall thickness is .140. Looking at a welding gauge it looks to be between 1/8 and 3/16” . Wanting to plug the holes after I cut bungs out . Should I use thinner material or thicker.

Tank is a 250 gallon.Blocks are under the feet about 4 feet apart.
Suppose it could but looking at the tank it isn’t visible.

Tank leveling

Was trying to use Frank’s method from his video .Want to get the tank marked so I can start cutting on it.Are there any other methods ...

Firebox question

I have a second 250 gallon tank that I will be cutting the firebox out of. I know this is probably a stupid question. When figuring the length of the firebox do you factor in the depth of the end cap or just the straight portion of the tank?

Tank stink.

I have a couple tanks that have been valveless for a couple months .I have done the water and dawn routine on both. But both still smell .How long does it usually take to get rid of the smell so I can be sure it is safe to cut ?

Why this way ?

Just watched HDM Smokers new video on sprung doors. In it uses a porta power to adjust the tank between door openings.Just curious as to way use this method opposed to adjusting the door itself. Not criticizing in any way .It worked.Just new to this and like to know the reasoning behind it . Sent fro...

Couple Design Questions .

First question :Does anyone have a quick and simple way of finding the center of a hemispherical head on a propane tank? Second : I have gone to the calculator with both 6” and 8” stacks , is there a “standard” or most common size for the diameter? It will be on a 250 gallon tank. Third and probably...

Re: Smoker Preference.

I have a Dyna Glo smoker and a Old Country Wrangler. The Dyna Glo can do ribs and sausage fairly well. The Wrangler can do Boston butts fairly well. When I cook I usually cook for my family for the week. Was just wondering if maybe having the 250-500 would be easier that than having two separate smokers...
