You need to picture it as circle with that diameter, then only cut out half of it. So draw a circle with a 20.55 diameter and then cut out the bottom half. Make sense?

Most are using the rustoleum high temp. I can't remember how high the black velvet goes, but for the price I'd use the rustoleum.

There might be enough tank there to cut one end down and make a round firebox with it. Man you're going to need a lot of hard wire and gas - and a Peter Built...

:LG: So I have a question, why did you speed it up or cracnk up the temp how ever you want to word it? To set the smoke ring. But honestly I was attempting to go hot and fast as opposed to low and slow. Next time I'll go 220ish for two hours and then ramp it up to 300 until the four hour mark. Then...

I've never used black velvet, but I've used other por 15 products. They are tough paints, but not really applicable to smoker building, imho.

I'll be the negative Nancy here. Why risk it? I know the pot is old and you don't care about it, but if it does off gas something nasty at the very least you will ruin dinner and the worst make somebody sick. I am over cautious about this kind of stuff.
