Re: Need Help with Pit Calculator

You need to picture it as circle with that diameter, then only cut out half of it. So draw a circle with a 20.55 diameter and then cut out the bottom half. Make sense?

Re: Open Call for Smokers!!!

I forgot to mention, your smoker does not even need to be finished. We have ideas for various scenarios, so don't let that discourage you either.

Open Call for Smokers!!!

We are doing a calendar shoot for SmokerBuilder and we want to feature your cookers!! Re: something for those who wear ties

I used to wear a tie every day, now only maybe 3 times a week. Yeah DC is right, i was loading up those drums to bring to Frank in one of my better suits. Got attune kind of white dust all over it, had to go home and change so the wife could take the suit to the dry cleaner. Sent from my SPH-D710 us...

Most are using the rustoleum high temp. I can't remember how high the black velvet goes, but for the price I'd use the rustoleum.

Re: Re: First HnF Brisket on my UDS

:LG: So I have a question, why did you speed it up or cracnk up the temp how ever you want to word it? To set the smoke ring. But honestly I was attempting to go hot and fast as opposed to low and slow. Next time I'll go 220ish for two hours and then ramp it up to 300 until the four hour mark. Then...

I've never used black velvet, but I've used other por 15 products. They are tough paints, but not really applicable to smoker building, imho.

Re: u.d.s. fire basket

I'll be the negative Nancy here. Why risk it? I know the pot is old and you don't care about it, but if it does off gas something nasty at the very least you will ruin dinner and the worst make somebody sick. I am over cautious about this kind of stuff.
