Well have actually got alot of work done, firebox is done, redid all the hinges on the lids, found out the hard way that 3/8 rod and dom is not strong enough. I have alot of odds and ends to finish, and one problem the trailer is tongue light anyone have any ideas? I was thinking about putting a war...

Well went back unit was bad, gave me brand new model for same price plus a nice pair of miller gloves and a pair of glasses for my trouble. And this thing cuts 1/4 like butter.

I have cut 1/4 with a 7 1/4 circular saw it does work. BUT you will burn up a cheap saw been there done that. Only sucess I had was with a worm drive saw works ok, if you use abrasive wheels will only get about 48" of cut per blade they go quick. :headwall:

What is the ideal amount of space between the rf plate and cooking surface? 6inches about right? :huh:

Don't waste the money on the evolution, bought one and returned it the next day, very poorly made and the blade is junk. Save you're pennies and get the milwaukee with the lennox blades. It should tell you something when the evolution saw with blade is 89.99, and just a lennox blade is 55.00.

Long story short inlaws used to own a dumptruck bed manufacturing plant, has had a bunch os various steel laying around for 15 years in the barn, little rusty but will suit my needs just fine.

Thank guys, there are two band saws one is a handheld dewalt, the Horizontal is an older kalamazoo love them both nice clean cuts. I know all about pissin off the neighbors, I moved in five years ago and every year I tear up something. It's bad when you build a shop in a pretty nice neighbor hood and stay up all hours making noise, or the concrete truck rips you're neighbors sprinkler system out of the groung.
