Thanks alot Rick, The handle doesnt get any hotter here then grabbin a door handle in Arizona lol. the firebox and stack handles get spring handles, they get dang hot, but the cook chamber handle isnt bad. You will have it done before you know Cancerboyuofa, you can call or text if you got ????

Got all the little stuff done and the finish sanding, got the paint on today. Now just needs to go to the new owner. I, m glad this one is done, its too dang hot here to be building smokers outside...

Thanks Bluecatfish, I use 3/16 strap for the door trim and the door isnt very heavy, made sense to put the hinges on the edge. I have a few tanks of various size laying around, I found a good supplier thats practically gives them to me

, I have a dozen or so harbor freight chipping hammer ends laying around, they work pretty darn good for handles lol.
