When I, m doing my intakes, I like to have air go under the fire grate and just above the edge of grate bottom, then it helps under and at fire height,,,, jm2cw

Got a bit more done today, baffle plate in, drain in, and got the grate done. I did something a little different on the baffle plate, I did a trough but did it with the bottle jack and chain method, I cut the plate square, then the half toward the drain is where I did the bending, it worked out pret...

Howdy All, Got to work on the RF today. The stack is on , the BP is ready to be welded in tomorrow. Doing the burnout now so I can clean it out and wire the paint off of it.

This is the chain and jack way of straightening. Set the door on the smoker and see where the door needs tweeked, then place the jack and chain. You will want to go a bit further then need because when you release the pressure it will go back a lot

This is what I did with the new door, the old door did not have any ribs, it warped and made it impossible to latch when hot. This new door worked flawlessly and I really like the new latch I bought for it. I will be using more of this style latch. Except for the higher temp, it performs pretty darn...
