thanks, and yes on the burn, going to get the door in place and hinged, then get it real hot to take the paint off and clean the inside. i find it easier to tweek the cc door after it has been good and hot. :beer:

Another Patio model in the works....

[ATTACH]17165[/ATTACH] Had to sacrifice a smaller tank to make a patch for the bigger tank, it was worth it. [ATTACH]17167[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]17167[/ATTACH] Got the tank cut, patched where the valves were, I cut and trimmed the door out. Got the hinges built but not attached. Will have pics of later..

my first two smokers i built them in, to shut smoke off when loading, i dont put them in anymore, i never used them when i had those smokers.....

I build all of my cookers with the stack flush with the top, nothing sticking inside the cook chamber. If you have your calculations correct,,,,,,, intake opening and stack length and diameter, the heat will pull the smoke through the cookchamber and there wont be any stale smoke. I figure it gives ...

Heck, everything you mentioned is perfect smoking wood..,,,, stay away from any of the pines... you do not want that near your smoker. all the other woods you mentioned are perfect

since you do not have cook chamber door made yet. mount the gauge into the inner wall , basically recess the gauge into the door. use a piece of 0.93 wall 3 1/2 tubing surround your gauge. put hole in outer door skin for gauge.
