so how do you figure the bp width?

How do you figure the size of the baffle plate and half moon size? Do you make the top of your firebox a continuation of of you baffle plate? So for example I am working on a reverse flow build that has a 30" diameter pipe that is 60" long is there a formula to determin the baffle plate width?

I have tons of pictures of my build see the above link from frank. I love my smoker it has seen alot of meat. I insulated my firebox and I would highly recomend it.

Tomorrow at 4 am the beast is going to heat up. We are doing 2 briskest, 18 racks of ribs 8 pork shoulder roasts, 25 lbs of thighs and drumsticks, and 10lbs of chicken breast. I will take pictures of the prep and through out the cook. All will be ready for pick up at 4:30 p.m. Stay tuned :grillin:

The beast is done took it to the jeep safari in moab Utah this weekend. We served around 700 people. I think that the axels are 7200 a piece with total of 14400. 15 inch wheels 225/75/r15 on the tires. I now have a little toung weight now that I have added the wood rack to the front.

I hope that I have wife after this is done she will be really excited when the beast is done. I have a bad habit of getting tunnle vision on a project and pulling 16-20 hrs a day.

Boy am I tired started working on the beast at 5 am quit at 7 pm. Up again in the morning at 6 paint day!,!!
