Does insulating the firebox help? Where did you buy it and what kind did you use? I've seen several websites that sale it but I don't know which to get.

Thanks for the info....as for wire I'm looking for a mig just cant decide which one yet, I was thinking a Miller 252 should be good. Any recommendations?

I'd like to build me a smoker out of a 1000 gal propane tank. Its 19' long 36" diameter. I was thinking of putting a firebox on each end of the tank and tuning plates. Insulated firebox

I was wondering about the benefits or purpose of insulated fireboxes. I've seen insulated smokers, but does insulating the firebox on an offset smoker and not insulating the smoker actually have benefits?

hey, i'm in sw texas. del rio to be exact. im looking for ideas to build an insulated vertical rotisserie rf water smoker. any n all ideas appreciated. i currently cook in a LONGHORN/LYFTYME pit (the label burned off already) n I cant remember which one it is. These smokers were built in Uvalde,Tx.
