well the area of the 11 inch opening is 92.93 inches and the area of the cercumfrance of the 11 inch opening and a plate 3 inches up is also 92.93 inches so i hopefully wont need to tune that fish. i am wondering about how close do i make the two plates

good idea except this trailer has coil springs. instead i am thinking about recessing the FB into the smoke chamber 3 inches below the RF plate with an 11 inch opening in the center top of the FB. thinking about addl plate between RF plate and FB

would like to take the credit but it was franks idea actually. still got a couple of glitches though once on the trailer its 6 ft tall and i'm only 5 7. working on the hight issue

actually my ideas are along the lines of horizontal split in the middle with two FB and CC center fed. still plenty of rack space but with versatility and abjustable RF plate

i did notice in frank's vidio he mixed lump and royal oak i will try that next time.

and the drum does seal well i caped it and shut the air off and within minuates it stopped any smoke leakage at all.

that was my thought a vertical cabinet. devide it about 16 inches from the bottom would make the fb the rite size by the calc. 4 feed hole with baffle plates.

a question about fireboxes
i read of someone using firebrick in a firebox. is there an advantage? pros and cons ?

also an unrelated question. how do i figure the end gap of the RF plate. i will be making it adjustable but i dont want to start too small and have no adjustability

thanks for the input.
haddnt thought of splitting it. would 2 FB be ness? or could i just use 2 openings with dampers in them with seperate controles.
also how do i tell how much of a gap on the BP ? is there a formular to tell? or woould an adjustable BP be better
