There's a few things I need to finish in fabrication but .. I couldn't wait any longer to fire this thing up.. so built my first fire!
Ran her up to 300 and climbing no problem holds heat great between 225-250!

Rick that's EXACTLY what I plan on doing.. I bought some sheet metal and round stock the other day.. that oughtta test my fab skills.. (or lack there of) :welder:

My tank is 3/16 and I've got it setup as a horizontal RV. Haven't fired it up yet but 3/16 should be fine either way you go..

Working on some cart reinforcement and finishing touches before I fire this up and start doing a burn in. My little nuematic tires were quite strained under the weight... so rather than going with biger tires and having to re-do the height etc. of the casters... I did this... Does it turn on a dime ...

Here's what I came up with for my charcoal basket... not sure about the placement/height etc. We shall see... if It doesn't work out I can always drop it down some.. I wanted it high enough to get good air flow underneath the coals... but it may be a little high to add logs to... I can always build ...

Well as I see it the trailer above appears top be 5ft by 10ft I can get my parts for the trailer new for around 400$ then about 200$ for steel. That being said the axel placement on the above trailer appears to be close but it seems to me that you will have to put some money and labor in the above ...

The guy up the road has this trailer for sale he's asking $350 for it... looks like it is a converted boat trailer... has expanded metal and a flat deck added on... Thinking about making a 250 gal RF smoker in the future... what do you think about this trailer as a base for it??? Good start? or bett...
