How bad was it wire brushing the paint off? i need to remove the paint on my build this weekend. wasn't sure wich way to go yet.

got the hole cut. just sitting on there. i wont weld it until i figure out if i should have it sand blasted or try to flap wheel/grind off the rust. but anyways. the whole is cut and it lines up.

used the 1/2" rod to line up spacers and welded them in.

got the fire box welded up, door cut out, door flange tacked on, fb to cc opening cut out.

got the rest of the flange on the door. started on fire box. got the 5 pieces tacked today. going to tig the outside and hit the inside of the seams with some mig.

i am posting pics on the reverse flow section, 60 gallon center feed.

got the door off. used some of the mounting bracket for the flange. didn't spring out much at all.

I messed up and left it in my garage like that. That thing is staying outside until its done

There it is. Paid a litte more than I would have liked to, drove way further than I would have liked to to go get it. But the size was exactly what I wanted. Totally worth it though. Not sure how thick a 60 gal tank is, but it has to be better than an oil drum.
