I finally got it finished and painted. Holds temperature good. I've smoked a couple of briskets, country style pork ribs and 4 racks of baby backs, as well as jalapeno poppers, vegetables and potatoes on it. Sorry about no pictures of the Q, it is always gone before I get around to taking pictures. ...

The bottom line is what does the Q the smoker produces taste like. I had rather have fantastic tasting Q from a junky looking smoker than mediocre tasting Q from a beautiful smoker with all the bells and whistles.

Ribs look great! Now let's see the smoked pig that it was built for!

After building 2 with round FB I think my next one will be square. I think square will be easier to build and use.

Door looks great. It should seal of good.

You can always close them off when you have too much air easier than you can get more air flow when you don't have enough air. Also you can make better adjustsments to compensate for wind direction.

Welcome! Just take your time, ask lot's of questions when in doubt, and build it like you want it. Oh yes, don't foorget the pictures.

What are you burning in that thing? That might be your problem.
