Re: gallons of paint?

awesome. i will be getting my paint this coming week. would like to paint it outdoors, but i may not be able to wait long enough for Mother Nature to let me do that. do you guys usually spray the smoker then build a fire in it to "bake" it on or just let it air dry?

250 gal smoker door handles and counterweights

Can someone show me some pics of their door handles, preferably wooden? I've got a 1.25 inch oak dowel, but not sure how I want to mount it. The counterweight will be my next issue. Thanks for the help...in advance. :)

CC door sizes

will be cutting doors in a 250 gal propane tank, as soon as harvest season is over! going to have 2 doors, probably 25"-30" wide with 3"-4" between them. any recommendations on how tall to make them? would you start at the top of the tank or come down alittle?? i was thinking about coming down 3"-4"...

firebox thickness

i'm also building a 250 gal smoker. wondering what thickness of steel to use for the firebox. do most use 1/4 ? how about 5/16 or 3/8 ? i've got access to all. besides the weight issue, i didn't know if thicker is better in this case or just over kill. anyone??
