Re: Humor For The Day

Went to a Federated Auto Parts customer appreciation lunch last week. Had some tasty burgers and brats, beans, and chips. Not a bad spread for a free lunch. The guy says the drinks are in the coolers on the other side of the room, water, diet coke, mt. dew in the first and coke in the second. I was ...

Re: Pork Loin - Recipies, recommendations, etc....

As for a rub I use Jeff Phillips rib rub. I dry brined the loin over night. Pulled it out of the fridge about 1 hour before i was ready to put it on to warm up a bit. Smoked it at 230-240 till it was 150 IT. Pulled it out, wrapped it and put into a cooler till we were ready to eat. It was very juicy...

Re: Im in need of a good thermometer dual prob

I really like my Maverick ET732. Has more features than I need but its nice to know they are there if I read the manual and learn how to use them. Nice pic of the man cave Pete. I built mine a couple of years ago using an epson HD projector, 106" diagonal projector screen (wide screen format), a nic...

Re: Food longevity??

We had a freezer go out on us when I lived at home. Lost 10lbs or so of ground beef and some other stuff that wasn't really important or tasty. Nothing went rank or anything just warmer than it should have been. Mom took the hamburger and cooked it in the oven on baking sheets. We fed it to the dogs...

Found this tank for sale on CL http://semo.craigslist.org/grd/4735875708.html. Not cheap but check out the dimensions. Might need a pair or 4 of dual tandems.

Welcome to the site. You will find plenty of info here to help you. You might try contacting your local school(s) and see if the have a welding or shop class. You could convince them to weld stuff for you in exchange for some tasty smoked meats. On a side note I vote we move the world headquarters t...

Re: Trailer axle advice

Do you have an atv scrap yard around. You could get some wheels and front hubs and make your own axle. Another thing to consider is the weight of this splitter. You may not be able to use wheel barrow tires and a 3/4" axle. However if you can I would get the foam tires, never have a flat and you won...

Re: How do you fix a hole caused by too much heat

On thin metal I like to tack it several places and keep tacking in different spots a couple of inches apart so I don't warp a panel or anything. You can usually get away with a higher amperage setting for a better weld penetration too. Just spread out the tacks to prevent too much heat build up in o...

Looky at what I did this weekend. Qview enabled.

My wife and her mom were discussing her dads birthday this coming sunday and how they were going to celebrate it. Her mom wanted to take everyone out to eat but that is hard and expensive to do with so many kiddos. My wife said she would just cook something and have everyone over for lunch after chu...

Juggler A juggler, driving to his next performance, is stopped by the police. "What are those machetes doing in your car?" asks the cop. "I juggle them in my act." "Oh, yeah? Says the doubtful cop. "Let's see you do it.” The juggler gets out and starts tossing and catching the knives. Another man dr...

Those trailers are low to the ground. I know its a free trailer but you might be time and money ahead just building what you want for a smoker. I say build the smoker first and make the trailer to fit it. You will spend more money and time modifying that trailer into something that works than you wo...

My wife picks them up at Aldi's, not sure of the brand though. They are usually 5-6 lbs. and very good. I also don't understand the chilling part.

Time sensitive offer FREE REFRIGERATOR!!! W/PICS

I don't know if it will make a good refrigerator smoker or not. But I have a large refrigerator that just died on me (compressor). Its a bottom freezer style with single doors on top and bottom. It is currently on my back deck and will be getting off there soon before the wife blows a gasket. I have...

Have you ever needed something and just could not find what you wanted for some reason or the other? So you decide, "what the heck I'll just build it." That happened to us a few weekends ago with some new deck furniture. We shopped everywhere we could think of for new deck furniture. I wanted someth...
