Really nice work. The more threads I look at the more it makes me go back over my own current build and redo things to a gig her standard!

More done today, dampers made and fitted, fb door made, fb welded to cc.

I used to work for Alcoa and had safety hammered into me so yes I do use earplugs and safety glasses

Yeah I used a grinder with a 1mm cutting disc. Messy but did the job.

Got a chance to do a little more today. Cut out the steel for the firebox and welded them together. Next task will be mounting the door and dampers.

It must of been an elcheapo it is straight rolled black steel.

Just thought I,d share a little project my son and I put together recently.

Got a chance to do a bit more today. Marked out and cut the cc door and the cutout for the fb. Next step will be to patch up all the holes left from all the hot water redundant parts then start the fb.

Just got off the phone to Frank and he suggests this smoker will work best with an end feed fb so it's full steam ahead to get the rest of the materials and make me a smoker!!!

Just did some googling on centre fed smokers and I see what you are talking about. My main question is do I have to make the opening between the fb and cc any certain size?
