I painted mine. Couple gallons of exterior grey. It will scratch over time of course expecially with metal work going on but its the best ive done.

Yea none of its going anywhere thats for sure haha.

Yeah its all gonna be a bit bigger then calc says. I figured that would help get heat up higher. I need to find a small short stemed thermo for the door now.

I went 5" and it gave me a 110% on the calculator. I always try and go a little bigger. Even on this little guy haha

It can be done just fine add long as you have the room in your pit. Keep the temp between 325-350. I let them roll fat cap down for about 4 hrs and then wrap with butcher paper. Well stainless is on it which means its done for awhile. Time to enjoy it now. Future upgrades, diamond plate angle for the corners of the storage box, nice set of aluminum wheels to replace the chevy rallys, add a water tank and pump setup for sink. ^^^ this what i use on everything. Except for 1/8" and smaller, i tend to rather use cut off wheels on my angle grinder. Works like a champ.

Got the storage box hinged. Got the front plate on the storage box as well but no pic.

mine is just a flat plate the size of the stack with a rod that comes down the stack that two pieces of pipe little bigger then the rod. acts like a hinge.

My gauges dont come with them. This way also gives you the ability to mount them at any angle you want and i like the look of em mounted this way with the coupling. Thats my reasons anyways.
