Re: need calculator help

180.64in^2 is the calculated throat size. So if using a round cc and firebox at 37" diameter the offset of the fire box needs to be this? Will the opening at the opposite end from the baffle to cc be the same? The calculations have been adjusted so its just about on the mark with firebox diff at 105...

need calculator help

Could some one give me some guidance with the calculation. What I'm planning on using is a 500 gal tank 120"x37" cut in half so 60"x37" is the size. I've tried the calculator but not much success or at least I don't think so. Thanks everyone.

Re: Ready to build a smoker

I been looking at several builds...thinking the 500 gal is abit large. I'm leaning to my original idea of cutting it in half for a more suitable size. If anyone has done this or has any input I'd like to hear it. As a plus I'd have enough tank for two builds.

Ready to build a smoker

I have ended up with a 500 gallon propane tank. I would like to build a smoker out of it. I can do the fab part no issue the dimensions is where my questions are. I tried the calculator but I'm not sure of the variables. If anyone would like to give me some input or experiences it would be greatly a...
