Had to pick up this beauty. Same spec’s as the one I am building (46.5”x24”).

Anyhow, smokestack installed and half of the CC door framed. Going to finish the frame tonight and bend to fit (door sprung). Hopefully I will have the hinges welded and door mounted before stopping tonight.

Making some nice progress. Don’t forget that now is the time to put in a shadow plate. Much easier to put it in before you weld the baffle plate down.

I put that shadow plate in before the baffle. Thanks again for the recommendation

Not too bad of a patch job, and it will work being on the underside of the smoker.

It's basically a plate that is mounted at the top of your throat about 1'' below the BP and runs about the first 20%-25% of the length of your BP. It helps to avoid a hot spot right at the throat.
