Re: 105 gallon trailer mounted smoker build

Question for those more experienced at smoker building than me: Do I need to worry about the FB door (3/16") warping under normal cooking temps? Should I add some stiffeners to the back of the door?

105 gallon trailer mounted smoker build

Okay here's what I'm starting with, a 60 gal. compressor tank. I cut it in half and am going to add about 12 inches between the two halves. If my figures are right, that should give me about 105 gallons. I'll post more pics as work progresses.

Re: Howdy and a question

Is there somewhere that explains what the calculations mean? For example what is the count of intake?

Re: Howdy and a question

Thank y'all for the warm welcome. I'll post pictures as I go along. I'm starting with a 60 gal. Air compressor tank but I'm going to enlarge it. This is going to be a trailer mounted smoker.

Re: Howdy and a question

Awesome. For the tank volume on the calculator what is the unit of measure? Is it gallons or cubic feet?

Howdy and a question

Howdy, I am new to the site and smoker building. I have a small fab shop and was hired to build a RF smoker. I have been skimming over the threads here and noticed people asking for ya'll to check their numbers. My question is how do you arrive at these calculations? I'm guessing firebox size, baffl...
