From blast to powder coat to finish i pulled off in 4 days as his surgery was approaching. He didn't get to use it befor...

Even threw a little bit of wood on there when i delivered it..

Strap is holding down door on the gasket..just put it on and had to deliver the smoker

Heres a dawg i freehanded with the plasma.. harder than i thought it would be. Made it at the last minute. I also cut 8 Ga G's out of stainless and welded them to grate on the charcoal side to brand his meat but forgot to take the pic....

He graduated from Univ. of Ga as pharmacist before becoming a doc. Loves UGA, so had to make it a dawg cooker...

Heres the sign after laser cutting. Had the T look like a syringe, as he has injected my bad back thousands of times. Thanks to him, my 2 blown discs give me very little trouble..

Finally finished. Had to rush at the end, as my uncle had to have surgery again to remove cancer.

Main parts left to build is firewood storage box and collapsable front shelf.

Trailer is almost done, cooler and dry storage mocked up...

Got my 3 counter weights on. Wanted something different. Weight is inside half of the elbow.

just for the hell of it, I'm gonna try more angle on the counterweight than the pic you posted. Just to see if I can make it work…gotta get started on trailer now. Horse traded for some wheels, so now I know the height Im working with

Thanks Rodcrafter. Thats close to what I was thinking but didn't want to waste a bunch of time when you guys have probably already tried it!!

Can you experts give me input on the counter weights for the doors? Im sure you guys can save me some failed attempts. Will they only function properly if they are straight up? I would love to have them follow the curvature of the tank if its possible. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Got an axle last weekend for the trailer build. Next hurdle i guess…...

good friend gave me the 4" and 6" elbows for the stacks..he was throwing them away at his shop while i was there. brand new gas line fittings…plenty heavy enough

Got smoking grate in finally..and the firebox intake covers... haven't been able to work on it much lately

ready for some grilling. have to put grate in on smoker side now

hole for some charcoal on the grill side. doubled the expanded for the charcoal. hopefully it will make it last a little longer..
