Ordered three 3 inch thermometers today got some pipe for the exhaust I think two or three inches from the top of the smoker should be good. exhaust will go through the side into the middle of the smoker located a couple inches from the top. What do you guys think?

I would rather put a off set fire box with propane assist instead of using cooking space in the smoker do you guys think that would be a better option? Thanks

Are you going to insulate it or not? Many people have thought about this and then decided on something else, because of the safety issues that come into play with gas. how many BTU'S for my smoker/BBQ?

I am building a smoker/bbq and need some help on what propane burner size will be needed. the box is 30x18x72. I will need temps as high as 350 or 400 and as low as 100 deg. Thanks in advance. Randy
