Paint question

Has anyone tried the air dry high temp Cerakote on a firebox yet? I'm thinking of using it for my smoker. I've used it on firearms parts and it works great. Any thoughts?

So I finally got to work on my smoker that has been in the planning (procrastination) stage since last November. The last couple weeks renewed my drive to get this thing completed. So, I pulled out tank and broke out the torch and got the bungs cut out and the door hole cut. Here's the dimensions 72...

Everything above and lengthen the tongue. I would cut that whole triangle piece off and start over on that. Put a piece of steel tube that extends a couple 2-3 feet. If you back up a trailer you will be thankful you did this.

If you want a propane fire method for your firebox get a weed burner/torch at your local hardware store or on harborfreight.com. I wouldn't mess with a chimney.

Puff, do you have a torch setup or just the grinder to cut? I would use the 2" port for the drain and fill the smaller hole. I would also just cut it out and then cut the doors. You can always trim out the door opening with angle iron and some flat bar to cover the gap. So you frame out the door ope...
