I used one roughly the same size. Perfect size for a family and then some.

Paint is holding up great! The paint on the fb is super hard like an porcelain or enamel finish

I used rust-oleum high heat primer and then rust-oleum high heat black paint. It says 2000 degree temp on the can. Did their curing recommendations as well.

Fired it up to cure it and it held 225 no problem all day long. Thanks guys for all your wisdom

Finally got some time to work on the smoker. Got the legs cut out and profiled, started my charcoal box, welded on my handles and installed temp gauges and a little hood for them. Also added some images of some other things I built this week too

Got the firebox all welded and clean up. Welded it on as well as the smoke stack. Up next, the base. Thanks for the complements guys
