Tim, I wrapped the FBA on my BUGF smoker. Puff insulated the walls by using expanded metal on the inside. I like his method better. I will use it on my build.

RichB, this stuff, the ceramic insulation, cuts easy, and you can pull it apart. I was using some leftover 2" stuff. I got to work on the Mini a little more today. Looks like the 1/4" plate is costing you over 350 dollars for the materials plus the shear cut. If my math is correct, (many times it's not!) the 48x96 sheet is a 12" wide by 32' long strip equivalent. Buying a 10" wide 20 footer should save you a ton of money on this order. Also: this is important: you are buying 4 foot long sheets. Up here, they sell you an 8 footer, shear it to 4 foot, charge for the cut too. Are you asking for your rems?

Started the coals at 4:30 am. Put the meat on at 7 am. It was done 5:30. Internal temp was 197. Came out great!
