Well this may be a really dumb question but I'm gonna ask it. So I had someone weld the cooking chamber for me and he primed all of the welds , I'm guessing I am gonna have to grind all of the paint off. Right??

Do you guys see any issue with an extended smoke stack? This smoker is going on a comp trailer and I wanna extend the stack to go out beyond the roof

Thanks Chris.. It's gonna be a tough weld, it barely touches in some spots, and damn I wish I had thought of making it in one piece and just bending the inside corners..

How are the CC walls supposed to be seated, are they supposed to sit on top of the 2x2 tubing or inside the tubing?

Whoa there really is NO ROOM for error on welding those cooking chamber walls in, holy gaps! Am I safe to say you all have experienced this? not an easy weld.

frank- puff- smokingdtown what have you guys done as far as paint is concerned? I'm guessing you don't have to do high temp paint since the outside doesn't get that hot..

Second day into the build and Im up to putting the curbs on for the doors, it calls for 1/2" spacer and a 3/4" spacer, what I dont understand is where they go? Also Starting the charcoal chute tomorrow and where the charcoal sits where it says the rebar is, those directtions are very confusing?? Not...
