Re: 250 Gal RF Build Attempt

Been out of town working and I'm back for the weekend.
Not truly finished with the smoker but was hoping to get it lit and test it out.
Can anyone give me an estimate about how many sticks it will take to keep up to temp for a couple briskets and a couple of shoulders.

Re: 1st Build - 150 Gallon RF

Some people me included, after cutting out the door started a figher inside the tank to get it heated up and blasted it with water. helps the paint peel off. You dont want to paint over the existing paint because it isn't heat rated paint and will flake off over time taking your new paint with it th...

You can pop in the dimensions of a 200gal tank in the smokebuilder calc and it will tell you what size FB you will need. Most people try to get it over-sized 5 to 10%

Re: My first smoker build

My intake is at 100% on one side below the lob basket. I'm still debating on whether to put a smaller intake on the door more or less to help push/direct smoke to the CC

All the advice I've received has been against slanting the plate. I can only assume once the platform is equally heated the plate to meat distance supersedes grease drainage
