Sounds like somebody spent a lot of time to build a poorly designed smoker. Worst part was the owner supplied the tank and trailer,and the guy still charged him 2 Grand to build it, when it didn't cook the guy just kept telling him he wasen't making big enough fires. 2 years of frustration later we...

Awsome!! is the chain and crank handle for if the elec goes out? Did a whole hog contest when the elec went out during the night using a rotisserie cooker,would have killed for a hand crank,finisged it butterflied on its back, and at least got a 9th place call LOL

I'm using a 1/2 inch pipe thread coupler with a short piece of 1/2 inch pipe,so the tube the gauge is threaded into that the probe sticks through is welded and sealed to both the outer and inner skins of the door.

Thanks Guys, it's an easy build,because most of the welding can be done on the welding table after tacking the pieces together,then just slide the module back in and weld it to the rain gutter flange,and a few plug welds to the inside brackets, I made the 2 sidewalls with the heat and smoke transfer...
