I have calculated my throat size as a half moon opening. My figures are 12" x 3 " in height. I'm shooting for 22 sq in. Am I close? And also, is half moon the best cutout for mounting a sq firebox?

I think my addiction to building smokers is in full swing. Lol. I'm thinking I'd like to build a smaller smoker to keep in the back yard go smaller cooks. I have an air tank that's 3/16" thick. Would that make a nice smaller smoker?

I'm having trouble with the smoke being thick and dull when I add a split of wood in the firebox. When I open the air vents to let the fire get hotter and thin the smoke I get the cooker too hot. My question is, what can I do to keep the smoke thin and blue while adding more wood? Also, I've been us...
