Will work fine with appropriate Damper . Built a 250 a few years back with 8" scrap stack works great . Having said that fire box dimensions and venting are most critical! There are calculators and very knowledgeable people here! Enjoy your build .[emoji481]

Re: Firebox questions

They make metal cutting blades for Standard 7 1/4" circular saw . Having said that it will need to be one with steel or Aluminum dust chute or things will go south quick! These blades are usually less than 10 bucks and cut a straight line just go slow and let it eat . https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.co...

Re: Steel pipe

I was dealing with a steel supply yard, made more phone calls today to other gas/propane suppliers, a few told me it was against federal law to sell me “non certifiable” tanks. They suggested contacting scrap/junk yards. A Mack style is always a possibility but as crazy as it sounds I just have had...

Hello everyone, I’ve been in the hunt for a 120g or 250g propane tank to start my RF build. I can’t find tanks around my area for the life of me. Has anyone had any luck getting 30” diameter pipe from a steel supply to use as a CC for a build? Unfortunately Propane tanks have become pretty hard to ...

I'm far from an expert but , I think your good with those dimensions. With it being a fraction over it will breath good . One of the experts will be able to give you a definite answer. Good luck with your build and enjoy![emoji482]

Rodcrafter has you covered !!! The increased air movement and damper will allow great control and max heat from fire ! Im gonna go out on a limb and say if he built a small offset it would still be HEAVY[emoji12]

Re: Best gasket for offset cook chamber and firebox

Try to clean up both surfaces on cook box and door seal . place plasticc wrap to surface of cook chamber where it contacts door seal. Apply bead of RVT red to cook box door flange. Close door for 24 hours to allow to cure. RVT will not stick to plastic wrap but will conform to warp/ variations in do...
