I put some tuning plates in today. So far I’m getting 12° to24° difference. I’m very happy with that.

Finally got some food cooked on it. It came out great but I’m have big temperature differences from one side of the grate to the other. When I did a test run there was only 50° difference. I couldn’t stand how off my door seals were so I cut them them off. Starting over with 1 1/4” wide flat stock but I’m not sure if I’ll go 1/8” thick or a little thinner. I can't say I'm real happy with the door seals though. Cause they aren't making great contact and I didn't give room for a gasket. Might have to heat them up and pound them into a better seal.
