Re: Another Mini Build Log

That's very impressive. Is that just with ball valve control?

Re: Double pan GF build from South Africa

I also ordered stainless ball valves but I don't see full bore mentioned. Is it going to matter if I'm using a cyberq?

Re: Double pan GF build from South Africa

Question
The 2" ball valves I have seen effectively only have about a 1" opening inside them because of the ball. Is this normal?

Re: Gravity feed pellet feeder

You notice any taste difference?
Would be interesting how much smoke flavour you would get with just charcoal and pellets.

Another question. I got some 700C fireplace paint. Do you think it will be ok to paint the inside of the firebox with it?

Re: Dial Thermometer

I'm trying to figure out the easiest approach. I have not built the door yet but I figured if trying to drill the holes through both skins while they are off the frame it's going to be hard to line them up when installing the skin. I was going to weld a nut behind the front skin to screw the gauge i...

Double pan GF build from South Africa

Purchased my plans and converted some of it to metric. Today I had all the 50mm x 50mm tubing delivered. Dropped firebox plans off with the laser cutter and started cutting the tube this evening after work. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170725/38ca6d83ca2b1feb58d8c7787a5336c2.jpg https://upload...
