So the first cook on the smoker went awesome!!! It held 225-250 with ease and was only using 1 split every 30-45 min depending on size. Only thing I might add is temp probe port since I let the lid close a little fast once and cut the cord in half. But I was more than happy with the performance of t...

That's a nice set up on the steering, it looks like you put a lot of thought in to it. I would recommend that you add a drip ledge to the door to keep the grease from running out from under the bottom door edge and making a mess. Here it is with the cooking grates and the front shelf . All that is left is the fire basket, CC door latches, paint, and probably 10 hours of thinking what I can add to it Image

Nice looking build. I am Interested in your steering set up. I plan to put golf cart wheels on my patio smoker in a few weeks. The Harbor freight pnuematics I have on it stay flat... The fire box is done. In the morning I will cut the door on the CC and the throat opening hopefully I will get it burnt out and finish the stand and get the cooking grates tacked up Image

Alright I’m getting ready to cut the throat opening in the FB and was just making sure im getting this right from the info y’all have shared on other topics. #1 I have the throat measured out on the FB and can I leave the one inch on the top of the fire box to space the BP #2 does my grease dam work...

Started on the fire box today for the 120gal got all of the 1/4 plate cut with the plasma and 5/6 sides tacked together Monday I will be finishing the welding on the box and hopefully get the door cut in the FB for the fuel as well as the ash pan and intakes. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2018061...
