Increased my firebox width from 18" to 24", the calculator says my throat opening should be 27 sq in. So I thought about a 9" * 3" opening. My question is can I go a bit larger like say 12" * 3" throat opening for 36 sq in for a 25% increase. What would be the downside to this if any?

I use Rustoleum high heat flat black. Used it on exhaust manifolds and my harley pipes. I figure if it works on those the Smoker should be a piece of cake.

Here are my plans for my center feed Smoker. The CC and FB are actually tanks but I left the ends off as the were a bitch to draw on Libre Draw.

I have looked at the Calculator. and if I use a 10 gallon air tank as a FB the % is only 67% would that suffice?

Hello all, Thanks for the add to the group. Planning on building a center feed smoker. Planning on using an air tank for the CC and an air tank or 2 for the FB. a couple of Harley exhausts for the exhaust.
