Drawing looks much better with that spacing. I guess I'll just have to resign myself to the fact that I won't be able to do butts and ribs at the same time on that smoker. I could always fire up the UDS for the butts though.

What would be the recommended minimum spacing between racks for doing ribs without interfering with the air flow? I'm in the process of working out the design and I'm trying to crowd 3 racks into a 20" diameter smoker so I've only got about 10" to work with. I figure if I wanted to do ribs and butts...

Since much of the work will be do when you are not there and since 10 kids in a class for 3-4 class periods a day it would be easy for the build to get ahead of you.
