Re: Plasma cutters

Dang that’s pretty nice. Was it under warranty? I have a logos but I can’t remember what the warranty is on it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Yeah it was under warranty. It holds more food being vertical
If you decide to go this way move the firebox a little more under the cook chamber about 2"Image

Some super heavy duty ones. Tractor Supply has some that are all steel and have spring shocks on them. Those are plenty heavy enough. Image

Re: Cutting door sequence

Before I cut my doors out i weld in some braces on the back to help keep them in shape. Then I can cut them out and not worry about finishing them the same day. It also makes it easy to put them on something like a table to put the flanges on.

Re: 2nd Build - Tank Offset Trailer Build

Welding flat metal onto curved tanks is a challenge! Tackled some daunting tasks today. - Built the smoke collector and welded up the stack. - Put a small stack on top of the WC. - Built the hinge and hung the FB door. I ended up tacking the door in place while I fit up the hinge. Added a couple wa...

I'm still plugging away on this thing slowly but surely. I have been slowed on getting steel by the corona, my favorite spot to shop drop steel is locking the place down. I usually can go there and pick and choose w that I want from their racks and settle up very reasonably, but even they are doing...

Haven’t posted an update in a few days but I’ve been busy. I was going to take it in and get I’m the whole thing sandblasted. My neighbor offered to lend me his gravity fed sandblaster so I gave that a try. 3 days later ... I’m still picking sand out of my ears and I decided to just strip the trail...

Re: First Offset Smoker build

As long as the welds are super strong i don't worry a whole bunch on looks. If it was a show piece I might worry more. Bow my welds don't look terrible but not perfect by no means. OP you do have some great looking welds. A lot better from those in the beginning. Practice does make perfect. Claud Mc...
