One of the chefs,, was asking about the flow of smoke around the baffle dam,,,
It looks a like it could disrupt the smoke flow as it enters the first lower race. Any Comments?

I did end up with flat,,, good advice and reasons.. got the baffle fitted and getting ready to add the drain. all the frames are made for the racks. really want to add the cabinet above the firebox, but have an idea for building a corn roaster and funding is limited to one or the other. beauty 21.jpg

I was never a flux core fan,, but this is really working out well and with some minor adjustment my technique is slowly improving. (been a couple of years since I've welded this much.
