I have a propane powered one. I actually like the stupid thing. For the price it actually does what it's supposed to do and food comes out good. Its not the best, but does ok. Quite different then the electric one, I have no experience there. Hey I'll pay double what you paid.

Might I recommend you use a quality instant read thermometer to test? Much more reliable and repeatable that a resistance test with a probe. I pull mine at 202. I've always heard the "pros" say not to depend on temperature for a brisket. Most say to use temp as a guideline, but it's not done until ...
