Thanks guys dirtytires there will be a 1/4 under the lower tube with a 2.00 opening to the back off the CC . So with my false wall in place I will have a build in water pan. I was thinking something under the plate that makes the top of the firebox maybe I don't need anything yet no sure kinda wingi...

The build begins RF vertical

Well started to build my RF vertical coming along good so far.
I was thinking about putting some kind of heat deflector in the
fire box ? Overall height 54 inches CC @ 24.00 X 26.00 deep 34 inch tall.

The firebox will be lined with 3/16 thick was on print not on question list.
I think I'm going in right direction may shorten firebox a little, seems like
offsets are popular here that can be next build but, thanks for input!

Chromeski I have I actually watched a video on the Mixon design I'm as green as they come. You would think
something like that it would be hard to control the heat but what do I know. pretty simple design charcoal in
amber falls thru grates chuck some wood on it.
