Re: Pit Calc question.

You have to know the dimensions of the FB to get the correct stack length. I figured the FB at 112% and came up with a 4'' X 32.25" stack so your current stack length will be fine. I also found that anytime I change the dimensions of the FB, I had to re- enter the stack size before the calculator w...

Re: Pit Calc question.

You might want to run your numbers again as one of us is incorrect. I just ran the numbers ang got a round 4 inch stack at only 25.8 inches. It could definitely be me that’s wrong but it’s worth checking..... Sir the size of the CC is 36”w x 24”d x 25”t. I ran them again and came up with the same 3...

Re: Pit Calc question.

The stack itself should be 32 11/16 tall. I like to mount it as high as possible on the top or end of the CC. Thank you Big T. I cut it to that length cut a hole in the top of the cook chamber in the center and installed it there so the full length is sticking above the CC. It just looked a little ...

Pit Calc question.

According to the Pit Calc. A cook chamber that is 36 x24 should have a 4” stack that’s 32- 11/16 tall. I installed mine today. My question is should the stack be that tall no matter where it sits on the chamber or are we supposed to take the 24” of the cook chamber as part of the overall height. Tha...

Re: Help

155% is definitely too big and will cause you all kinds of headaches when you start trying to maintain temps. Both of the methods that Bitbucket mentioned will work fine. You could also raise the slide rails for the Fb and ash pan and put a simple false floor in the Fb to cut down on the volume if ...

Thank you, I have a medium rectangular reverse flow that I started 8 years ago. The cooking chamber is a 36 x 36 x 24. I’m ...
