Re: Standard Offset Trailer Build

You're welcome. But like you said you have to put your stamp on it. Others might not see it with the CC on there, but you will know it is there.

Re: First offset build! Have some questions.

Here is one that uses a folding stack, not sure if it will help or not, but it might give you some ideas. Its the Mack Upgrade thread, on page 2.

Re: Throat more about it and how to find right size

Someone please correct me if I am wrong as I am still learning too, but the 174.96 that it is showing you is the square inches for the throat size. So 24" x 7.25" throat opening would give you 174 square inches.

Re: Maybe Frankenqube XL

I haven't seen anyone on the forums that has built a Frankencube but I believe that there was one or two of them on the smokerbuilder Facebook page a while back. I certainly understand your budget constraints as it took me a while to fund my trailer rig. Why not build another UDS for the time being...

Re: Maybe Frankenqube XL

No idea on the cube but that 24x48 rf is really not that difficult to build. To simplify things, you could always skip the warmer box, drain and top shelf of the cook chamber. I find the drain unnecessary and the shelf and warmer could always be added later. It calls for 0.25 plate/pipe but you cou...

Maybe Frankenqube XL

Ok so I am trying to decide on a smoker setup, and could really use some input. I have the plans for the 24x48 RF, and my dad has been thinking about building a mini GF so I got those plans for him, but they are both a little more then I want to take on right now. I like simplistic designs, I love m...

Re: Question on 24" pipe

It's hard to say what a good price for material is because it varies so much depending upon where you are located. I would say it's a fair price, especially if you've been looking for a while. I'm not a pipe expert so who knows what was in it before you get it but I built a good size fire in mine a...

Question on 24" pipe

I have the plans for the 24"x 48" RF, well have had them for awhile, and I have been keeping an eye out for deals on pipe. I just found someone selling pipe, 1/4" wall thickness $24 per foot (I think it is a good price, I am curious what kind of pricing people are seeing in other parts of the countr...

Re: New Smoker

I agree with DT on the smoker plans. It is a RF instead of standard flow, but it is that exact size, and the plans are extremely well laid out, and best of all, it is a tested and properly functioning smoker. I got mine over the weekends, well I got the digital part, I should have the hard copy in h...
