I have my controller ready to plug in but ordered a case to pack it all into. It's wired and SEEMS like it should work but I have not have the time to cut the aluminum box to fit the cutouts. I only have a small Dremel tool to cut the parts out. My blower is a plastic junk fan and I'm not pleased with it. I may need to find a metal one that would improve the isolation from heat without being to far removed from the heat. I'm using the TA 4
Make no mistake, there ain't no powder in this Puff ! And... I'm not really a crazy person but I play one in real life
What size fans (in cubic feet per minute) are people using on their home built PID temperature controllers? I am looking at some that range from 16 cfm to 52 cfm. I have a patio size smoker, 24"x36". I cut the air intake way back to maintain 225-250. Seems like a smaller fan would be easier on the controller when maintaining a set temperature, but I don't know. I'm thinking of using a 25CFM fan. The 52cfm fan costs only $1 more. What size fans do the store bought temp controller's use?
The squirrel cage on Northwood's looks pretty big. Do I need to rethink my fan size?
I have the Pit bull with the cyber q controller. It can move a lot of air but the controller doesn't allow it to come on full power if the temp is near the goal temp it just puffs a little air in as needed.
