Paint Trailer and Pit

Still in the process of building my pit on a trailer... But wanted some input on paint for the trailer and the bbq pit, or should i hire someone to do it? What kind of paint do you guys use on the trailer? Rustoleum ok for the smoker? This will have an insulate fire box.

No reason you can’t do it yourself.

Lot of guys use rustoleum as it’s pretty easy to touch up down the road but you can get in to automotive paint for the trailer if you have the spray equipment. Either way make sure the heat rating on the paint matches what you are covering and sandblast and primer everything first.

Ditto on the rustoleum. Can get a quart can for under $10 at any big box home improvement store, which will cover at least 5 times the amount as in a spray can. Mix with a little lacquer thinner and you are good to go. Pain guns out there under $15 and less than half that when they are on sale.. Much thicker coat too.
