I haven't seen your smoker but I would be surprised if it took a gallon. I have painted full size trucks with less than a gallon. I know that the rustoleum high temp doesn't recommend using primer but I think some guys do it anyway. I would do 2 coats just to make sure that I had a thick coat on everything. jm2cw.
Yes a gallon of paint will go a long way in a paint gun.. I don't know what you smoker looks like or how big it is but I would be suprised if you use much more than a quart of paint.. unless of coarse the smoker is as big as an 18 wheeler...
I'm the only one with a vizion... everyone else wears biphocals...
awesome. i will be getting my paint this coming week. would like to paint it outdoors, but i may not be able to wait long enough for Mother Nature to let me do that. do you guys usually spray the smoker then build a fire in it to "bake" it on or just let it air dry?
Air dry at least 2 days…. at least that works with the Valspar spit-cans I use…..
And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.
Current smokers: Egor (trailered RF) and Easybake (tabletop pellet drive)
