Well finally finished it up and got it powder coated. Looks ok. I wish I would have had a little better luck keeping my flat panels from distorting but I think it's ok for an amateur. Lol I am waiting on a little plasma cut metal to finish it off but other than that it's complete. Can't wait to use it. Seems to come up to temp good now that I got the seals on. Thanks again for suggestions and ideas. BTW talked to Smoke Daddy and they said the fast cycling was normal and all systems are go.

Well that looks just dandy. Nice finish.

just checking back in. Beyond all belief this frankenstien is hammering right along without skipping a beat. There is no stopping it so far. I can control steady temps from 175-450 really easy. I have cooked 3 small whole hogs at once and everything else imaginable under the sun. A few follow up issues for the next one is better fitted (look better) skins, a better way to clean the ash out of bottom, a removeable baffle plate to ease cleaning, Make hopper waterproof as I have had 2 plug ups from moisture running into auger tube and setting up (better pellets may help). Anyway just checking in and letting you guys know. I am looking for another project that why I am here looking. Happy new Year

Looks great, I like it a lot. I know it's in the thread somewhere, but what is the cc measurements? Where are the pics of all that food you been cooking?

Thanks!!! The cook chamber is 32" wide x 24" deep x 42" tall with 5 racks. Its a little big for a couple butts and a flat of beans but it doesn't use anymore pellets than when it was on the thin Traeger cooker, which I guess would be a benefit of the insulation. I don't take many pics of food as mine never looks as good as anyone else's but I assure you its fittin to eat. lol I think that's what I want to try to build next is a little smaller one.
