Held 250 after a 10 degree over shoot within +- 3 degress then took it to 400 and held it there.

just need to test how even the heat it.

Nice work on your cabinet and the controller and charting ... can you post some details about the Pi Smoker in the controller section of this forum ?

How hot does your drip pan get with the pellet pot underneath ?

I run a cabinet with three stack vents because I wanted to check out some options for RF as well.

I blocked my top two openings with a copper sink scrubby thing and use the lowest one.

The only time I have noticed a difference in the smoke flavor is when the drip pan gets too hot and the drippings (instead of sizzling sweetly) add a burnt flavor.

I just did a search for it. looks like a home built program possibly operating on the Raspberry Pi platform. I recommend you PM heatermeter Builder on here and chat with him... he's the guru on that stuff
