Got the smoke stack on, and the ghost plate and main baffle installed. Also got the tracks for the sliding throat damper installed. Just a few more things and we are headed to paint.

You could play with how much compression the spring gets. A few lockwashers half snugged down might do the trick too...then id use a nylon nut/double nut on top to keep it feom unwinding.
