I have a quick question on cleanliness.

I am of the opinion scrape the big stuff off, and when I pre heating the smoker it is steralising it each time. What’s your thoughts. Seems a lot of effort if you need to take it back to shiny metal.

What’s you guys opinions on this?

I knock off the big pieces and leave all the rest. My tube smoker holds a lot of heat and I will hit it with the garden hose and blast out the big gunk and let it steam dry. All the other smokers and bbq's get the big crud removed and that is it.

Yeah that, get the obvious big stuff and burn off the rest when warming up next time.
