Reverse flow Sliding Racks Design Help

Post by Ihuntelk2 » October 18th, 2020, 5:55 pm

Hey to all,

Could you please share some pictures of your rack builds. I have a general idea on how i plan on building my sliding racks but i want to double check
with you guys to make sure what i have in my mind will work.
I have to 30" wide doors and im mounting angle from front to back. Not to sure if I want the bottom rack to be flush with the door opening or above so it will slide out. Im using tube steel to build the shelfs with grate on top of tube steel. I want them to slide out. The idea is to have two shelfs per door. 4 in total. The top shelf seems pretty self explanatory but the bottom ones got me a little stumped.
Please share some Pictures im a visual learner and easier for me if i see it.

Thanks MIke 👍

Here you go:

These are above the opening so they slide out w/out lifting up. I’ll add rack stops so they don’t tip when pulled out.

These are below but still slide out. You can see the rack stops so they don’t fall out.

I don't have any pictures on my pc but I do all of my grates like dacolson's top picture. I like being able to slide them out to load, unload or just check on the food.

The anti-tips are super important. It’s pretty easy to over-extend a shelf and have it tip on you.
